Teen Mom Jenelle Evans branded 'sad' for releasing clothing line with her cartoon on it after makeup company shut down

TEEN Mom 2 alum Jenelle Evans was branded as “sad” for releasing a clothing line with her cartoon on it.

The 29-year-old’s latest career move comes after her makeup company officially shut down.

On Friday, Jenelle took to her Instagram Story to share clips of herself modeling the clothing line.

In one clip, she danced in a white hoodie that featured a cartoon version of herself.

She told her fans in a following video: “I also forgot to mention to you guys that if you do buy a hoodie, that I can personally reply to you guys with a video with every purchase that you make.”

Jenelle continued to promote the merch by posting two photos of herself modeling the sweatshirt, which she captioned: “YAYYYYYY! NEW MERCH! Get your hoodie at link in bio. 🙃💗 More items #ComingSoon”

After the Teen Mom 2 alum shared the posts, fans rushed to Reddit to slam the star for the clothing line.

One person wrote: “This is just getting sad at this point.”

Another added: “She needs to get a job.”

A third chimed in: “That tshirt already looks dirty.”

One person simply called the clothing line “cringe,” as a following fan added: “These will look great next to those moldy brow kits in the garage!”

The backlash continued as one MTV fan wrote: “Why would I ever want a hoodie with a power puff girl version of Jenelle on it?”

An additional Reddit user noted: “She can’t be this stupid.”

A following critic chimed in: “Her lack of self awareness is so sad.”

Back in June, The Sun exclusively reported that Jenelle’s makeup company JE was shut down.

The business license for JE Cosmetics has been “dissolved” by the North Carolina Secretary of State, with the office confirming the business is no longer active because Jenelle did not file her annual report due April 15, 2021.

The MTV alum exclusively spoke to The Sun of her decision to no longer continue the makeup company, sharing: “Basically I stopped it myself. I still have stuff to sell, and I was still actually selling products, but it’s really hard to keep up with without a team.

“I was the one packaging everything, shipping it all, restocking it, it was really hard to keep up with it without a team.”

Jenelle explained she wants to “focus on monetizing” her “social media channels.”

JE Cosmetics was hit with scandal in September 2019 during its universal brow launch.

Customers who received the $40 product complained of poor quality.

One customer wrote on Twitter: “The brow pencil completely snapped off within a minute of using it, no matter how short I made it, it would snap off. There was 1 inch of product in it to begin with, now there is none. Complete waste.”

Then in October 2019, RadarOnline.com reported Jenelle was dropped by her manufacturer.

The Sun later reported Jenelle was selling eyebrow kits in March 2020 from the September 2019 launch.

Her former public relations representative Johnny Donovan said: “She bought so many units. She purchased 2,000 eyebrow kits. It's the same kits.

“They were left at a warehouse. She’s trying to get rid of them since she was stuck with a lot. I wish her luck!”

Jenelle confirmed to The Sun that the kits were sent to her home “not too long ago,” though Instagram photo of the boxes also have a production date of 2019.

The TV personality married husband David Eason in 2017, while they share four-year-old daughter Ensley.

She is also the mother to 11-year-old son Jace and seven-year-old son Kaiser form previous relationships.
