Find out what new films and series are coming to streaming giants Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, BBC iPlayer and Disney+.

Don't miss the sixth and final season of the gloriously over-the-top show Lucifer, or the 20th anniversary of 9/11 film Worth as well as many more.

What's new?

American Horror Stories on Disney+

The gruesome and blood-splattered treat is a new seven-part series made from the same company as American Horror Story.

But, each episode features a terrifying new bite-sized tale.

The series takes some nightmarish new turns, including an instalment about a killer Santa, another about a movie that turns viewers into murderous maniacs and one about a gang of feral humans that feast on innocent members of the public.

The spine-chilling entertainment show will release new episodes every Wednesday on Disney+.

Lucifer on Netflix

After proving himself worthy of taking over the task of being God from his dad, Lucifer (Tom Ellis) is suddenly having cold feet. Is he up to the job?

The sixth and final season of the gloriously over-the-top show sees Lucifer trying to decide what he wants from life – and death – all the while attempting to protect his relationship with Chloe and fend off various superhuman foes, including, this series, his troublemaking sister Rory.

Whether Lucifer is set for a happy ending, you’ll have to wait and see.

But one thing’s for sure: with all the main characters returning – and some delightful twists along the way – it’s devilishly good fun. Available from Friday.

Kate on Netflix

Forget John Wick or Jason Bourne, assassins don’t come more kick-ass than Kate (Mary Elizabeth Winstead).

Highly skilled, fearless and meticulous, this no-nonsense young woman is both ruthless and highly effective.

But, when a regulation assignment in Tokyo goes wrong, Kate realises she’s been poisoned and has just 24 hours to get revenge on her would-be killers.

Determined to make them pay before it’s too late, she forms an unlikely alliance with Ani (Miku Martineau), the teenage daughter of one of her own victims, and sets off on a rampant revenge mission.

Top 5

Cruella on Disney+

This deliciously wicked movie telling the back story of one of the worst behaved but best dressed Disney villains, Cruella de Vil.

It was made available to Disney+ subscribers a week ago and we are all going Dalmatian dotty over it.

Emma Stone takes on the role of Cruella, and to say she has fun with it is an understatement.

The story is set in 1970s London, where young grifter Estella is taken under the wing of Baroness von Hellman (Emma Thompson) – a relationship that sets her on a path of becoming the terrifying Cruella, hell bent on revenge.

Kevin Can F*** Himself on Amazon Prime

We all fell in love with Annie Murphy as fallen It Girl Alexis in Schitt’s Creek, and in this new series – a cheesy sitcom and dark drama mash up – she proves she can do the straight stuff brilliantly too.

It’s pretty high concept, this one.

Some of it is set in sitcom world where Allison (Murphy) is married to manchild Kevin and has to quietly put up with her husband’s ‘funny’ antics.

Then it flits to drama world, where we discover Allison’s deep-rooted unhappiness and wish to kill Kevin.

Sparking Joy on Netflix

Before Stacey Solomon there was Marie Kondo, showing us how to spark joy in our lives by decluttering and organising our homes.

Marie’s original Netflix series Tidying Up was a surprise breakout hit.

Now, she follows it up with this three-parter, in which she turns her attention to businesses, relationships and communities.

Because Marie’s methods not only transform spaces, they also seem to wave a magic wand over people’s lives – just ask formerly estranged father and son Jimmy and Logan whose nursery is tidied and relationship mended…

Worth on Netflix

As we approach the 20th anniversary of 9/11, this film, based on a true story and starring Michael Keaton and Stanley Tucci.

It feels like a poignant and important watch.

As America comes to terms with the devastation of the terror attacks, attention turns to awarding compensation to the loved ones of the 7,000 who lost their lives.

Lawyer Kenneth Feinberg (Keaton) and his firm come up with a formula to calculate a sum for each family, but those grieving, including Charles Wolf (Tucci), are understandably aghast that their loved ones are viewed as numbers on a spreadsheet.

Truth Be Told on Apple TV+

It never quite reaches the heights of its makers’ big hits Big Little Lies and Little Fires Everywhere, but series two of this twisty whodunnit is an engaging romp set in the world of true crime podcasts.

Octavia Spencer is Poppy Parnell, said podcaster, who begins to investigate the death of her childhood friend Micah’s (Kate Hudson in her first TV role) husband.

Turns out, he was well known to be having flings outside the marriage.

And there’s a jolly long line up of suspects that could have killed him.
