‘I’m sad what happened and that he died. I wish he would have just been able to sell his house and move away, but now we don’t’ have to deal with it,’ said a neighbor.

It was a bad situation for the neighborhood the day he moved said the disgruntled neighbor.

Records show the singer bought the 7 bedroom 4 bathroom home in November 2020 for $620, 000 in Lancaster, California, 70 miles north east of Los Angeles. He’s house is currently for sale for $799,900.

‘Aaron had problems with several of the neighbors on his street, at least three of them have called police on him,’ said the neighbor who didn’t want to be named for fear out of reprisal from his fans.

‘Aaron was just arrogant, he thought he was better than everyone else in the neighborhood. He would brag about how he had better vehicles and his house was larger than most in the area.

A week before Aaron Carter’s death, he posted on Twitter that the home, where his body was later found, was up for sale as he gets ready for the next chapter

Neighbors said Carter and his girlfriend, Melanie Martin, would frequently fight, and that he once locked her out of the house

There was always commotion coming from the house. You could hear Aaron and his on again/off again girlfriend, Melanie arguing all hours of the day. ‘We saw police out in front of his house every few months.’

On several occasions Aaron locked Melanie outside of his house, after a screaming match and she would bang on the door, screaming ‘let me in.’

When Aaron wasn’t fighting with Melanie he would torment his neighbors by blasting his music and opening up his windows. ‘You could hear the music from several houses away.’

One neighbor politely knocked on his door one day and Melanie answered. She was asked if they could turn down the music. Melanie said she would pass along the information to Aaron. Minutes later Aaron banged on the neighbor’s door and began yelling at the neighbor, he called her a ‘c**t and a b***ch. Another person at the house told Aaron to leave their property. The police were called and Aaron tried to tell the police that the neighbor assaulted him. No arrests were made.

Just a week before his death Carter tweeted that he was selling his house and that he was beginning a ‘new chapter’

Carter had purchased the property in November 2020 for $620,000, The New York Post reported. He then listed it for sale three months later. It been on and off the market ever since

Aaron got into a fight with an older neighbor one day, yelling at him, calling him an ‘old man and to suck his d**k.’

Aaron had a Dalmatian dog that he would hit and yell at constantly. Then one day the dog was gone.

‘Every neighbor has that ‘neighbor’ you have to deal with, he was that ‘neighbor.’

‘I feel bad he left behind his young child. He obviously had his issues and demons. It’s a shame that he died, I wouldn’t wish that on anytime, but I’m glad he’s no longer in our neighborhood.’

Just one week before his death, Carter tweeted that he was selling his home for $800,000, and noting he was looking to begin a ‘new chapter.’

‘Selling my 2nd home,’ Carter wrote on October 29. ‘Real estate has been super good to me. Ready for a new chapter in my 3rd home which I plan on staying to make a beautiful life for my family.’

‘This year has been super tough but I’ve learned so much,’ he added. ‘Thanks for the support everyone.’

The massive seven-bedroom and four-bathroom house boasts a custom-made outdoor swimming pool, walk-in pantry, a massive fireplace, and is surrounded by palm trees.

The listing states: ‘Looking for Your Own Private Oasis! This Stunning Home Offers Numerous Enhancements. This Paradise Features a Custom IGG Pool & Spa Surrounded by Terraced Landscaping Romanced with Palm Trees, Luscious.’

‘The interior of the home features much sought after amenities such as laminate flooring, upgraded light fixtures, recessed lighting, vaulted ceilings, large picture windows, and custom interior paint,’ it continues.

Carter was found dead in the bathtub of the house on Saturday after being discovered by his house sitter.

She reportedly ran from the house telling ‘He’s dead! He’s dead!’

Witnesses described a ‘chaotic’ scene at the singer’s house, with police cars, news vans, and people crowding in the streets to see what happened.

Police said Carter drowned, but have not elaborate on how the tragedy happened.

Carter, who opened for the Backstreet Boys on a 1997 tour, shot to fame in the 90s releasing four studio albums, starting with his self-titled debut album in 1997 when he was only nine years old.

A close friend of Carter’s told The U.S. Sun that they believe he did not commit suicide, said he had been planning studio sessions with artists the following week for an album.

Carter had also told the friend that he was ‘excited’ to showcase new music and work with artists who were traveling to Los Angeles specifically for a duet.

‘Any suggestion he was suicidal last night when he was in contact with his friends and team is wrong,’ the friend said. ‘Hearing the news this morning was absolutely devastating.’

Since January 2020 Carter had an on again, off again relationship with one-time fiancée Martin, who gave birth to Prince in November 2021. He confirmed in an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com in August that the two were no longer in a relationship and had ended their romance for good.

However, Martin was visibly upset outside Carter’s house on Saturday, and released a statement calling him her ‘fiancé.’

‘My fiancé Aaron Carter has passed away. I love Aaron with all my heart and it’s going to be a journey to raise a son without a father. Please respect the privacy of my family as we come to terms with the loss of someone we love greatly. We are still in the process of accepting this unfortunate reality. Your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated.’

Earlier this year, Carter filed for custody of their son and a petition for protection against Martin at the Antelope Valley Courthouse in Los Angeles County.

In a court filing he accused his ex of ’emotional distress, anguish, shoving, & scratching’, and claimed she used the threat of suicide to abuse him ’emotionally.’
