A MAN allegedly attacked three children in his family and his brother with a machete on Wednesday morning and barricaded himself in his home.

Kyle Seeley was caught by Florence-Lauderdale County Sheriff's Office deputies on the scene as he attempted to run from the home shortly after 11.30am EST.

The three children attacked are all under the age of ten and their relationship to Seeley is not clear.

One of the children was airlifted to Children's of Alabama hospital.

Another was transported to North Alabama Medical Center, WAAYTV reports.

Their condition and the severity of their injuries is not clear.

Seely's brother has also been airlifted to UAB.

A SWAT team is currently on the scene and residents are asked to avoid the area.

Local reports say that shouting can be heard from the house and that Seeleyappears to have barricaded himsrlf into a detached garage beside the home.
