High school student critical after being hit by car in Greensborough

A high school student has been taken to hospital in critical condition after she was hit by a car in Melbourne’s north-east.

Emergency services were called to an accident on Diamond Creek Road in Greensborough at 3.30pm on Tuesday.

Victoria Police said it was believed a car struck a pedestrian and the driver stopped to assist.

Ambulance Victoria said a high school-aged girl was taken to Royal Children’s Hospital in a critical condition.

Police said the exact cause of the collision is yet to be determined and anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
