Man, 26, arrested for double attempted murder after two women ‘mowed down by Mercedes in hit-and-run crash’ | The Sun

A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of double attempted murder after two women were allegedly mowed down in a hit-and-run crash.

The victims, in their 20s and 30s, are said to be in a critical condition following the smash in Milton Keynes, Bucks early on Tuesday.

The women, who haven't been named, were reportedly walking home after celebrating on Boxing Day when the alleged incident occurred.

Paramedics and cops darted to South Fifth Street but found that a Mercedes driver had fled when they arrived.

A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in custody, according to police.

Cops continue to appeal for witnesses as part of their probe.

Detective Inspector James Horseman, of Thames Valley Police, said: “We are continuing our investigation and ask anyone with any further information who has not yet come forward to do so through our online reporting site or by calling 101."

Officers are appealing for anyone with dash-cam footage that can help them in their probe to come forward.

Investigating officer Detective Sergeant Rob Lyne, based at Milton Keynes police station, said: “I am appealing for anyone who witnessed this incident, or who has any information about what happened, to please come forward.

“Particularly those who may have dash-cam footage from the area at the time, or relevant CCTV footage.
