What time is President Joe Biden speaking next?

President Joe Biden will be addressing the nation at 1pm on Tuesday, April 27, 2021.

He will be discussing new coronavirus mask guidelines at the North Lawn of the White House.

Do Americans need to wear a mask?

Those who have been vaccinated should continue to wear masks in public places and when you are around other people, the CDC cautioned in early April of 2021.

You are still be required to wear a mask on planes, buses, trains, and other forms of public transportation, the CDC says.

Additionally, you must be masked up when traveling into, within, or out of the US, and in transportation hubs such as airports and stations.

President Joe Biden is expected to announce new mask guidelines on April 27, but he has always urged Americans to wear masks whenever possible.

Coronavirus adviser Dr Anthony Fauci told CNN that the administration "will be coming out with updating their guidelines of what people who are vaccinated can do and even some who are not vaccinated."

A federal official told CNN that the new recommendations "will provide guidelines for activities fully vaccinated people can resume."

Biden has also repeatedly urged Americans to get vaccinated.

People are considered fully protected two weeks after the second dose of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines and two weeks after the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

When is his next speech?

His congress speech will be held at 9pm on Wednesday, April 28, 2021.

This speech is not considered a State of the Union address but he will be outlining current issues facing the nation and his administration.

It will be his first address in his first 100 days of presidency.

Biden was invited by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to deliver the remarks before Congress.

Pelosi wrote Biden a letter saying: “Nearly 100 days ago, when you took the oath of office, you pledged in a spirit of great hope that 'Help Is On The Way.'

“Now, because of your historic and transformative leadership, Help Is Here!"

"In that spirit, I am writing to invite you to address a Joint Session of Congress on Wednesday, April 28, to share your vision for addressing the challenges and opportunities of this historic moment."

Who will attend Joe Biden’s speech?

Chief Justice John Roberts and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley will represent the Supreme Court and military respectively.

Biden’s cabinet will not be in attendance, excluding Vice President Kamala Harris, who will be seated beside Pelosi on the House floor dais.

The exclusivity of the address will not permit members of Congress to invite anyone to the House.

Biden’s official guest list is expected to be revealed just before the speech.

Additionally, First lady Jill Biden's guest box and the traditional presidential box will be empty on Wednesday.

What will Joe Biden say in his speech?

He is seeking to build public support for both.

Biden may also be addressing the new capital gains tax plan which will reportedly increase the capital gains tax to 39.6% from 20% for Americans earning more than $1 million, according to Bloomberg.

The proposal would follow through with Biden’s campaign promise that would require the wealthiest in the country to contribute more of their income.

The plan would level the income tax rate and the capital gains tax to 37%.
