Fern Britton took to Twitter and shared a very candid message in view of her 90,000 followers. The former This Morning presenter admitted she is not “feeling it” today, before being swiftly inundated with support.
The 64-year-old, who announced her split from her husband Phil Vickery last year, didn’t go into too much detail following her tweet.
The mum-of-four had previously opened up about her struggles ahead of her separation from the on-screen TV chef sharing that both of her parents had died.
The presenter often takes to social media and interacts regularly with her followers.
Taking to the micro-blogging site, Fern penned: “There are some days that I’m not just feeling it.”
Her loyal following flocked to the comment section as they offered the TV personality some advice.
One wrote: “Do me one massive favour and tell me if it worked…
“Go outside, take a big lungful of fresh air, scream your favourite word at the top of your voice, then come back onto Twitter to let me know if you feel better. PLEASE.”(sic)
Fern took heed of their advice, saying: “I’m going outside now… standby.”
She later tweeted: “Ok. Went outside took a deep breath. Closed my eyes. Whispered (don’t want to disturb neighbours and/or cats ) loudly LOVE. Did this three times. Thank you.”
Another social media user commented: “You’re not alone Fern, I’ve been feeling like this for some time now. This last year has been tough for most people but I feel like mine has fallen apart.”
Fern offered: “Rest and gently recover.”
A third wrote: “It’s ok not to be ok sometimes, go sit in Cornish air and just breathe…almost as good as the Devon air.”

“My advice find something you enjoy doing or watch comedy you like. It always picks me up when I feel down. You’re a lovely lady Fern.”(sic)
The broadcaster didn’t go into any further details following her cryptic post.
Six months after confirming her split from Phil, Fern opened up about the heartbreaking moment her marriage to Phil Vickery crumbled.
Appearing on Good Morning Britain last year, the former This Morning host confessed they “grew apart” during the final years and months of their relationship.
“My mum died and my father died and unfortunately Phil and I fell apart,” Fern revealed as she discussed her latest book, which is based around family heartache.
Meanwhile, it appeared the presenter had a reason to celebrate as she teased her return to ITV, 12 years after leaving This Morning.
Fern shared a photo from inside the ITV studios as the presenter said she had a “happy meeting”.
She tweeted: “The current home of @ITV. So swish! Went for a very happy meeting… but I do miss the old ITV Tower on the South Bank.”
