Hunter Schafer got all dressed up to attend the 2021 Gotham Awards held at Cipriani Wall Street on Monday evening (January 11) in New York City.
The 21-year-old Euphoria star was one of the few in person presenters at the award show.
Hunter glammed up in a black bustier dress with silk ribbon details, and a black vintage crocodile embossed leather multilock belt from the Givenchy spring/summer 2021 collection, designed by Matthew M. Williams.
She took the stage to present the Breakthrough Series (Under 40 Minutes) award to HBO show I May Destroy You.
Speaking of HBO, the second special episode of Euphoria is premiering soon, and it focuses on Hunter‘s character Jules.
During a new interview with Porter magazine, Hunter opened up about how the episode came about, which she actually co-wrote with Sam Levinson.
“During quarantine, [Sam and I would] call each other and chat shit and throw ideas around. We started writing a different script and then that got put aside,” she told the mag.
“He was tossing around certain ideas and for some reason Jules was trending on Twitter. That helped us cement what we did in the end,” Hunter continued. “I helped write the final script and was there for preproduction and helped to plan out the shots and storyboard it. All that influenced the performance because I knew the script on this whole other level.”
The episode will air on HBO and HBO Max on January 24th.
