The supermarket has launched a recycling scheme where it will reward you with a 10 per cent discount in return for dropping off your old clothes and textiles.
And if you needed another excuse to to revamp your wardrobe, your donation will also help to reduce landfill and could even help support breast cancer charity, Tickled Pink.
Asda explains, “Your donation of unwanted clothing and textiles will not only divert them from ending up in landfill but could also generate vital funds for our ‘Tickled Pink’ charity partners.
“We will receive a monetary amount from our partner (Yellow Octopus) per Kilogram of clothing/textiles that you donate and after deducting our operational costs, the remaining amount will be donated to our nominated charities in the following proportions: 70% to Breast Cancer Now and 30% to CoppaFeel!”
To access the service, all you have to do is pack up your old clothes and seal it well.
Use the George.com website to find a drop off point near you and you will be sent a QR code to take into store.
Once your parcel is exchanged, you’ll receive an email with your ten per cent discount voucher.
