Greggs Christmas Bank Holiday 2022 opening times: What time are stores open? | The Sun

CHRISTMAS and New Year means shops and restaurants will be briefly shut.

The extra Bank Holidays may also affect Greggs opening times.

As Christmas Day and News Years' Day fall on a Saturday this year, there'll be two extra Bank Holidays.

On on December 27 and another on January 2.

This therefore could mean shops and restaurants will alter their opening hours.

Here's what Greggs is doing.

When will Greggs be open over Christmas and New Year?

All Greggs shops will be shut on Christmas Day and New Years' Day.

Greggs said that some of its restaurants will re open on Boxing Day and will stay open for the following days.

But it's best to check on its website by using the Greggs store locator as times will vary from store to store.

When we checked online, the store locator only showed opening times until Christmas Day (Sunday) so it's best to check again later on.

What shops are closed over the Christmas period?

The majority of retailers have confirmed the days people will be able to shop in their stores over the Christmas period.

Most shops and supermarkets will be closed for certain days in order to give staff some much-needed time off.

Almost all stores across the UK are shut on Christmas Day, but there are also a handful of retailers that won't open on Boxing Day either.

Iceland and Aldi are just two of the supermarkets giving their staff December 26 as well as December 25 off.

However, most stores are reopening on Tuesday, December 27, despite it being a bank holiday.

The national day off is a substitute day for Christmas Day which falls on a Sunday.

Opening hours can vary from branch to branch, so check your local store times before you make the trip.

Most big retailers will have their opening times listed on their websites.
