Roman Abramovich is set to visit Chelsea during a rare trip to London.
The Stamford Bridge club’s owner has not been seen in the capital since he experienced visa issues in 2018.

However, he has made a journey to the UK to visit relatives, a spokesperson confirmed.
It is understood that the billionaire Russian businessman is likely to visit either the club’s Cobham training ground or stadium itself during his stay, although Chelsea do not have a home match until October 20 when they entertain Malmo in the Champions League.
Abramovich has not been spotted in London since experiencing issues with his entrepreneurial visa three years ago.
He did attend the Blues’ Europa League final victory in Baku in 2019, and the Champions League final win over Manchester City in Porto in May.

Abramovich’s spokesperson also confirmed he has travelled to London as an Israeli citizen, therefore entering the United Kingdom without the need for a visa.
His visit may be seen as a further underlying of his commitment to the club, which he has owned since 2003.
Abramovich, who has invested heavily both on and off the field, shelved the planned £1bn redevelopment of Stamford Bridge after he was denied a UK visa three years ago.
At the time, it was reported that the decision was taken due to his frustration at bring unable to work in a country where he spent much of his time since acquiring the club. The delays led to him missing Chelsea’s FA Cup final win in May of 2018.
