Emmerdale actors Isabel Hodgins and Matthew Wolfenden have dismissed rumours that they’re embroiled in a feud with a series of heartwarming social media posts.

The soap stars, who portray Victoria Barton and David Metcalfe respectively, were all smiles in a picture posted on Charley Webb’s Instagram Stories.

Charley, who is married to Matthew in real-life, wrote of the photo: ‘The most annoying humans’.

Isabel, meanwhile, reposted the Instagram Story on her own account, writing: ‘We love you too hun @miss_charleywebb’.

The lovely pictures come after reports of Isabel and Matthew allegedly being caught up in a ‘very heated’ row during filming for one of the soap’s biggest stunts.

According to reports, the pair, who play lovers on the show, clashed as they shot explosive waterfall scenes for last month’s Super Soap Week.

Sources have claimed that tempers ‘flared off camera’ which made those filming feel ‘uncomfortable’.

It’s been said that bosses quickly got involved and investigated the matter while Matthew and Isabel took a break from filming.

‘While they were on set a comment was made which unintentionally caused offence, and an argument broke out among some of the cast members, a source said.

‘This was a massive deal for all of them and obviously, everyone was under pressure to make scenes work.

‘Emmerdale take these kinds of ­allegations very seriously, and Matthew and Isabel did not film scenes while inquiries were made.

‘It was not a decision they took lightly, as it had huge consequences for the team as they are massive characters. But the bosses felt it was a necessary step to take.’

The insider added to The Sun that bosses investigated the matter fully and were now satisfied that no further action is necessary.

Isabel and Matthew’s characters Victoria and David have embarked on a relationship, after they developed feelings for one another earlier this year.
